He has guided 40 Ph.D, more than 35 Masters Students, 20 postdoctoral students and several thousand industry professionals and teachers through continuing education workshops. He has served as a visiting or honorary/visiting professor at several overseas universities. He holds Masters in Civil engineering from Indian Institute of Science and Phd from University of Waterloo, Canada and worked for his postdoctoral at University of Texas, USA. He is also the Director of Central Institute of Technology, Kokrajhar, Assam (additional charge) since May 2021.
